Environmental scientist holding a Master in Sustainable Development and a PhD in Science and Management of Climate Change from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Spent about 10 years on academic research about risk assessment (in particular flooding hazard); since 2018 he is part of GFDRR as climate and disaster risk expert, focusing on geospatial data and analytics (Thinkhazard.org; Risk Data Library; climate-related risk screening for the Country Climate and Development Reports).
