Pierre Chrzanowski is a Disaster Risk Management Specialist who is currently working with the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), administered by the World Bank. In his current role, Pierre is helping countries to collect and manage information to reduce their vulnerability to natural hazards and adapt to climate change. With a background in information technology, he is part of the GFDRR Digital Earth team, which is focused on leveraging Earth Observation data and services to support World Bank operations. Pierre has experience working with geospatial technologies, digital policies, and mapping techniques, and has helped governments in Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean regions. Pierre is a French national and graduated as an Engineer in Information Management System from the University of Technology of Troyes, France.
