Stuart Fraser is a Lead Disaster Risk Management consultant at the World Bank. Stuart has 18 years’ experience working on climate and disaster risk assessment in the insurance and development sectors, for disaster risk management (DRM) and risk financing purposes. He has led multi-hazard risk assessments for the European Union, Central Asia region, Sub-Saharan Africa and in the Pacific. Stuart works on improving access to open risk information, through the development of open-source tools and standards including the Risk Data Library Standard and within the Oasis loss modelling community. Stuart holds an MSc in Geophysical Hazards from University College London and a PhD in Emergency Management from Massey University, New Zealand.
